Diploma of Leadership & Management

Our BSB50420 – Diploma of Leadership and Management qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply knowledge, practice skills and experience in leadership and management across a range of enterprise and industry contexts. Individuals at this level display initiative and judgement in planning, organising, implementing and monitoring their own workload and the workload of others. They use communication skills to support individuals and teams to meet organisational and or enterprise requirements. In addition, they plan, design, apply and evaluate solutions to unpredictable problems, and identify, analyse and synthesis information from a variety of sources. Upon successfully completing this nationally recognised qualification, you will be able to:

  • Lead and manage effective workplace relationships and team effectiveness;

  • Develop performance management processes and implement them; and

  • Plan, implement and review a quality assurance program.


Successful completion of the BSB50420 – Diploma of Leadership and Management may lead to employment opportunities, such as:

  • Business Manager;

  • Human Resources Manager; or

  • Sales Team Manager.

There are no formal entry requirements for this course. However, prior to enrolment students are required to provide their Unique Student Identifier and photo identification. Prospective students may be required to complete a language, literacy and numeracy assessment.



We use a range of assessment methods for this qualification, including:

  • Short answers;

  • Projects;

  • Activities; and

  • Workplace Observation or Observation in a Simulated Workplace.


This qualification can be completed in twelve months. The volume of learning offered by J2S Training Solutions may vary per student depending on their existing skills and knowledge. More experienced students are likely to complete t
he course in a shorter period of time. Duration may vary depending on Credit Transfer [CT] or Recognition of Prior Learning [RPL]. Students can apply for CT or RPL at the time of enrolment.


Delivery of training may take differing forms, including Face-to-Face and Online, dependent on the requirements of the client or the needs of the cohort.

  • BSBPEF502 - Develop and use emotional intelligence (C)

  • BSBSTR502 - Facilitate continuous improvement (E)

  • BSBTWK502 - Manage team effectiveness (C)

  • BSBXCM501 - Lead communication in the workplace (E)

Fees & Charges


This course is available on a fee-for-service basis:

  • $6,000

  • J2S Training Solutions does not accept upfront payments of more than $1,500. If a student’s fee is more than this amount, the support of a flexible payment plan will be offered to students.


  • Deferment Fee (administration charges) $50

  • Replacement of Testamur/ statement of attainment / Qualification Certificate $50

  • Repeat of unit (Third attempt onwards Per unit) $150
