in Driving Operations

Our TLI31222 Certificate III in Driving Operations qualification is for those looking to take on driving operation job roles within the Transport and Logistics Industry. The course is designed to educate students on the aspects of driving roles including legal responsibilities and obligations, principles of safe loading and securing cargo, industry-standards required of drivers and other areas such as accident and emergency procedures, to ensure the student can fulfil a relevant driving operations role, safely and confidently. Successful achievement of the licensing units within the qualification may enable students to upgrade to a heavy vehicle licence or higher class licence, in line with NSW licensing and regulatory requirements.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Student must hold a valid P2 licence (green P’s) and have held the licence for 24 months, including a P1 licence (red P’s). Prior to enrolment students are required to provide their Unique Student Identifier1 and photo identification. Prospective students may be required to complete a language, literacy and numeracy assessment.

HOW DO I CREATE MY USI?

ASSESSMENT

We use a range of assessment methods for this qualification, including:

  • Short answers;

  • Projects;

  • Activities; and

  • Workplace Observation or Observation in a Simulated Workplace.

DURATION AND MODE

Duration:
This qualification can be completed in twelve months. The volume of learning offered by J2S Training Solutions may vary per student depending on their existing skills and knowledge. More experienced students are likely to complete
the course in a shorter period of time. Duration may vary depending on Credit Transfer [CT] or Recognition of Prior Learning [RPL]. Students can apply for CT or RPL at the time of enrolment.


Delivery:

Delivery of training may take differing forms, including Face-to-Face and Online, dependent on the requirements of the client or the needs of the cohort.

*J2S Training Solutions has a Third Party Agreement in place with Driver Training NSW to provide training and assessment for the specialist units of competency in this qualification.

Service NSW Licence Fees effective 1 July 2022

From 1 July each year, Transport NSW fees may increase as part of the annual NSW Treasury approved Consumer Price Index. Please visit nsw.gov.au for all driver and rider license current fees.

Logbook replacement fee: $18

Fees & Charges

FEE FOR SERVICE

This course is available on a fee-for-service basis:

  • $11,000

  • J2S Training Solutions does not accept upfront payments of more than $1,500. If a student’s fee is more than this amount, the support of a flexible payment plan will be offered to students.

ADDITIONAL FEES

  • Deferment Fee (administration charges) $50

  • Replacement of Testamur/ statement of attainment / Qualification Certificate $50

  • Repeat of unit (Third attempt onwards Per unit) $150
